Nevada men’s golf coach Jacob Wilner has signed Sean Minor to a National Letter of Intent. Minor will join the Wolf Pack for the 2020-21 season.
“Sean brings a level of athleticism, speed and competitiveness that we are very excited about,” said Wilner. “It’s going to be fun to watch him grow as a player.”
Minor, a native of Columbia, Mo., will graduate from Rock Bridge High School this May after lettering in golf for three seasons. During his high school career, Minor has helped his team to much success including two Missouri State High School Athletics Association (MSHSAA) district championships, two MSHSAA sectional championships, and a MSHSAA state championship where his team set the state scoring record. In addition to the championship success, Minor’s team racked up 17 wins between the 2018 and 2019 season.
On an individual level, Minor totaled six wins in his 2019 high school season, aiding in much of his team’s success. For his play, throughout his career he received many accolades including MSHSAA all-state honors, and was a nominee for RBHS Freshman of the Year, RBHS Athlete of the Year, RBHS Most Valuable Player, and Columbia Tribby’s Athlete of the Year. Additionally, he captured titles at the 2019 Columbia Classic and the 2019 Smith Cotton Golf Classic, where he shot a round of 66.
Minor is the third signee to sign with Wolf Pack and will join Jack Steck and Tom Patterson as new members of the Pack in the fall.
