The Nevada women’s basketball team's 12-game non-conference schedule is set, with the Wolf Pack playing seven of those games at Lawlor Events Center.
The Wolf Pack's season opener is Nov. 10 against Saint Mary's and the non-league slate is capped with two games at the Washington Tournament on Dec. 19 and Dec. 20 against to-be-determined opponents. The Wolf Pack also will host its annual Nugget Classic in late November with games against Drake, Idaho and San Francisco.
“Our non-conference schedule will be a great challenge and will help prepare us for conference play,” Wolf Pack coach head coach Amanda Levens said in a news release. “We look forward to being back in Lawlor with all of our supporters. Our fans can look forward to some fantastic matchups in Reno this upcoming year.”
In addition to its home opener and the Nugget Classic, the Wolf Pack also hosts Utah Valley (Nov. 20), UC Merced (Dec. 7) and Bushnell (Dec. 11). It hosts Fresno Pacific on Oct. 31 in an exhibition game. Nevada has road games against Santa Clara (Nov. 14), Cal Poly (Dec. 2) and Pacific (Dec. 4).
The Wolf Pack, which went 13-9 last season, including a 7-3 home record, finished fifth in the Mountain West with a 9-7 league mark. Nevada returns its top four scorers from last season, including Da'Ja Hamilton, Amaya West, Nia Alexander and Megan Ormiston. The Wolf Pack also added Portland State grad transfer Kylie Jimenez, the older sister of returning Wolf Pack player Alyssa Jimenez.
