Nevada improves to 3-4 after defeating Washington in Sioux Falls

After an early Wolf Pack lead against the Huskies, Washington would even the score, and it was a back and forth game until Nevada would pull away late in the second half to come away with an 81-62 victory in Sioux Falls.

Nevada would lead 13-5 halfway through the first frame, until Washington would take a 17-15 lead about two and a half minutes later. The Wolf Pack would lead 29-27 at the break, but a 19-4 Nevada run with a pair of three-pointers from Grant Sherfield and one from Daniel Foster would give Nevada a 61-49 lead with less than nine minutes to play.

After a career high 31 points on Tuesday, Grant Sherfield led the Pack with 23 points, while Warren Washington, Will Baker and Desmond Cambridge all finished in double figures. Washington and Baker had nine rebounds a piece, tallying a season high 44 as a team overall.

Nevada went 2-1 at this week's Mammoth Sports Construction Crossover Classic with a win on Tuesday against George Mason. Nevada returns home for game against Pepperdine on Nov. 30. Tip off is at 7 p.m. on Nevada Sports Net with pregame coverage beginning at 6:30 p.m.
