Nevada track and field athletes Emily Costello and Rayven Nealey were named the conference's athletes of the week Tuesday.

Costello, a junior, won first place in the 400 meters at the Sacramento State Tri-Meet with a time of 55.3 seconds. That was a personal best and ranks fourth in school history. It is the second-fastest time in the nation this season in outdoor meets behind Grace Harris from Lewis University (55.02 seconds). She earned MW track athlete of the week.

Nealey, a sophomore, won the MW field athlete of the week after winning the triple jump at the Sacramento State Tri-Meet with a jump of 12.53 meters. That's the fourth best in school history and is the top score nationally in outdoor meets. Most schools are still completing the indoor track and field season.

The Nevada track and field team will continue its outdoor season at the UNLV Spring Invite from March 18-20.
