The Nevada women's soccer team got its first win of the season Thursday at UTEP, securing a 2-1 decision.

The Miners got on the board early with a goal from Vic Bohdan in the 10th minute as UTEP took a 1-0 advantage into intermission before Nevada's second-half rally.

The Wolf Pack's Gabby Brown tied the game up with a goal in the 65th minute. Only 12 minutes later, freshman Trinity Sandridge scored the game-winning goal on an assist by Hannah Souza. Sandridge finished the game with three shot attempts, one goal and an assist.

The Wolf Pack had 13 total to the Miner's seven. UTEP's goalkeeper Luisa Palmen led the game with three saves. Senior Kendal Stovall had one save.

The game was moved from Reno to El Paso due to poor air quality in the region. The Wolf Pack is scheduled to host New Mexico State on Sunday at 1 p.m.
