The Nevada men's golf schedule next season includes the return of the Wolf Pack Classic, with the winner earning a spot in the area's annual PGA Tour stop.

The Wolf Pack released its full 2021-22 schedule, which includes 11 events broken over two semesters. The Wolf Pack Classic, which was a staple of the program's schedule many years ago, will be played at Hidden Valley Country Club in Reno on Oct. 11-12. This will be the first Wolf Pack Classic since the 2011-12 season.

Nevada hosted Oregon State for a dual match in 2019, but this will be the program’s first multi-team home event in a decade. The field will feature 14 teams and offer the individual winner an exemption into the PGA Tour's 2022 Barracuda Championship, which is played in Truckee at Old Greenwood.

The Wolf Pack will play five events in the fall and six in the spring, including the annual conference tournament, which is shifting from Arizona to Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash.

Nevada's first event next season will come Sept. 10-12 at Air Force’s Gene Miranda Invite. The tournament will be held in Colorado Springs, Colo. at the Eisenhower Course on the campus of the Air Force Academy. The Wolf Pack has competed in this event four times in its history, but this will be the first time since 2015. Nevada's other event in September will be the Husky Invitational, held at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash. on Sept. 20-21, which will be a preview of the course that will host the Mountain West Championship.

After the Wolf Pack’s lone home event, the team will wrap up the fall season with a trip to Hawaii from Oct. 25-27 to compete in the Hoakalei Collegiate Invitational followed by the Saint Mary’s Invitational Nov. 8-10 at Poppy Hills Golf Club in Pebble Beach, Calif.

Nevada will return to the golf course in the spring from March 2-4 at the Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, Calif. It will then play in the Lamkin San Diego Classic on March 7-8 at San Diego Country Club, where the team finished runner-up last season. Next is Stanford’s event, The Goodwin.

A fairly new event awaits the Wolf Pack from April 4-5 as it will compete in the Cowboy Classic for the first time since 2013. The tournament will be held at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz. Nevada will conclude the 2021-22 regular season at the BYU Cougar Classic on April 22-23 at Riverside Country Club in Provo, Utah.

Nevada is aiming for its fourth straight NCAA Regional berth.
