The Wolf Pack soccer team took on the California Baptist Lancers on Thursday night at home, which saw the Lancers take over in the second half.
The first team was pretty quiet for both teams. The Lancers led the half with six shots compared to the Pack’s five. The Pack had five fouls against them compared to the Lancers’ three Senior Kendal Stovall led the half in saves with three.
The second half is where the action started rolling for the Lancers. After only scoring one goal in the last five matches, the Lancers would score three in just one half. Freshman Jayden Ramirez would score the first goal seven minutes into the second half.
The second goal wouldn’t come far after, as freshman Faith Lee scored her first collegiate goal eight minutes after Ramirez’s. Finally, freshman Malia Cerdon would score seven minutes after the goal made by her teammate Lee.
The Pack wouldn’t give up just yet, as freshman Ally Little scored her first collegiate goal for Nevada. Giving us the final score of 3-1. All goals scored this game were collegiate firsts for the athletes.
Cal Baptist would finish the game leading in shots with 14. Stovall would finish the game leading in saves with 5. Senior Hannah Souza, junior Gabby Brown, and freshman Trinity Sandridge led the team in shots with two.
The Pack will look for redemption at home on Sunday against the University of Idaho at 12 PM.
