Jacob Wilner, in his 12th season at the helm of the Nevada men's golf team, was named the conference coach of the year for the first time.

Wilner led the Wolf Pack to its fourth straight NCAA Regional, which will begin Monday in Stockton, Calif. Nevada also finished 32nd in the nation, per GolfStat, two spots ahead of New Mexico for the top ranking in the conference. Wilner is the first Nevada men's golf coach to win conference coach of the year since Tom Duncan in 1996-97. He's the sixth Nevada coach to win coach of the year in the MW, joining Jian Li You (diving), Jay Johnson (baseball), TJ Bruce (baseball), Eric Musselman (men's basketball) and Sylvain Malroux (men's tennis).

Nevada finished third in the 11-team MW Championship, one of seven top-three finishes in the team's 11 tournaments this season. That included a team win at the Husky Invitational on Sep. 21 when the Wolf Pack rallied from 17 shots down in the final round to clinch its first victory since 2019. Nevada also set a single-season scoring program record (283.15), besting the previous record (287.44) set by a Wilner-led team in 2018-19.

Nevada also had individual wins by Quim Vidal Mora (at the Saint Mary's Invitational) and Peyton Callens (at The Goodwin). The Wolf Pack landed three players on the 11-golfer All-MW team in Vidal Mora, Callens and A.J. Lintunen, all transfers, an area where Wilner and Nevada have excelled.

Vidal Mora set a new program record for the lowest average score (70.0). Lintunen recorded the fourth-lowest average score (71.33) in program history. Callens notched the fifth-lowest average score (71.55) in Nevada men's golf history. It marks the first time more than one Nevada golfer has made the All-MW team in a single season. Vidal Mora is the 66th in the nation, per GolfStat; Callens is 145th; and Lintunen is 181st.
