Five Wolf Pack athletes named to All-Mountain West track and field team

Nevada's Nicola Ader, Lauren Green, Emily Costello, Raegan Gorzeman and Lillian Gregg were named to the Mountain West Outdoor all-conference team.

Ader earned her honors from medal performances in three events at the MW Championships. She won gold in the heptathlon with 5,607 points won bronze in the long jump (5.91 meters) and high jump (1.77 meters). The senior won 27 points total for the team at the championships. Ader almost earned a medal in the javelin, where she finished fourth (42.48 meters).

The four other Wolf Pack honorees earned their all-conference awards from the 4x400 relay. The team, which included Gregg, Costello, Gorzeman, and Green, finished third in the event. Their time of 3 minutes, 44.17 seconds not only earned them a bronze medal but was the second-fastest time in school history.

Ader, Costello and Rayven Nealey each qualified for the NCAA Preliminary Round.

Ader will compete in the long jump, where the senior broke her own school record during the season at the Rice Invitational (6.34 meters). She enters the preliminary round ranked 23rd in the West. Ader also automatically has a bid into the NCAA Finals Outdoor Championships for the heptathlon with her top point total of 5,607.

Costello will be competing in the 400 after breaking the school record in the event with a time of 53.89 seconds, which ranked fifth in the MW Championship. The sophomore will enter the preliminary round ranked 44th in the West.

Nealey will compete in the triple jump after her season-long mark of 12.69 meters. The distance ranks Nealey 46th in the West preliminary round, which starts May 26.
