Another transfer has committed to the Nevada women's basketball team.

Marguerite Effa from the University of Southern California has signed a scholarship agreement with the Wolf Pack.

“We are thrilled to add Mar to our program,” said Levens. “She is a talented post player who brings a wealth of basketball knowledge and experience to our team and will add size and a strong presence in the post. We are so excited to get Mar on campus and start working with her.”

Effa, a 6-foot-3 post from Los Angeles, redshirted during the 2018-19 season at USC, but previously played three years for the Trojans.

Over three years, Effa played in 62 games, averaged over seven minutes a game and shot above 45 percent from the field. During her freshman year, she averaged 2.4 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game.

Effa is a graduate transfer which means she eligible to play immediately.

She will be accompanied by University of San Francisco transfer Nia Alexander and three incoming freshmen as the new members of the Wolf Pack for the 2019-20 season.
