For head football coach Jay Norvell's wife, Kim, she has been battling cystic fibrosis since she was an infant. A chronic disease that she has lived with almost her entire life, but she hasn't skipped a beat because of it.
The Norvell's have been together for almost 30 years, and Kim has lived in more than ten different cities before her husband landed his first head coaching job at Nevada back in December 2016. While being a mother and raising their son Jaden, to being a coaches wife, she has done all of that, while living with CF, and battling colon cancer in the process.
On Saturday, the inaugural 'Grit Run' will help raise money for the cystic fibrosis foundation, to go towards research which Kim says has helped save her life with all of the new technologies, therapies and medications that have been developed throughout her lifetime.
Shannon Kelly caught up with Kim and has her story.
