Spanish Springs senior linebacker Jackson LaDuke started playing football at about eight years old.
"I remember my Dad used to go on business trips and he showed me pictures of the stadium and he'd be like "look what I saw" and I'd be super jealous." says LaDuke.
Growing up, Oregon was one of his dream schools, and the senior will turn that into reality next year. LaDuke says he had a gut feeling that Oregon was the right fit and shortly after his visit, committed to play for the Ducks. He felt a "home connection" in Eugene with former Nevada coaches Ken Wilson and Jim Mastro who coached under Coach Ault.
LaDuke is helping guide Spanish Springs this year under first year head coach Rob Hummel after the school won their first ever playoff game last season.
So far, the senior holds 216 total tackles, 146 solo tackles and 11 sacks to his name just one game into his final season.
Shannon Kelly has his story.
