Bishop Manogue football wins back-to-back regional titles

The Bishop Manogue Miners are your 4A regional champions after defeating Damonte Ranch 24-7 on Monday night.

The Mustangs would strike first after Nick Vargas scored his 12th touchdown of the year with less than 10 minutes left into the game. With less than 10 minutes left in the second quarter, Zeke Lee would strike for Bishop Manogue to make it a tie ball game and Drew Scolari would score on the keeper with less than a minute left in the first half.

The Miners defense would prevail holding the Mustangs to just one touchdown the entire night, as Bishop Manogue won their second regional title.

The Miners will now face Liberty out of Henderson, Nevada after they knocked Bishop Gorman out of the playoffs in overtime on Friday night. Kickoff against the Patriots set for 1:10p.m. on Saturday at Bishop Manogue High School.
