Bishop Manogue football falls to Liberty in 4A state semi-final game

Bishop Manogue fell to Liberty 42-24 in the state semi-final game on Saturday afternoon.

The Miners scored first off a field goal Mateo Valesquez until the Patriots answered with a deep touchdown pass with less than seven minutes left in the first quarter.

Bishop Manogue held a 17-14 lead at the half, but Liberty would come out strong in the second half to secure a 42-24 victory on the road.

The Miners finish out the season 9-4 under third year head coach Ernie Howren.
