UNLV reigns supreme in the Silver State yet again.

The Rebels athletic department has clinched a Silver State Series victory (formerly called the Governor's Series) over Nevada athletics for the sixth time in seven seasons. The series-clinching win came over the weekend when UNLV beat Nevada in two of three games in softball.

This could end up being one of UNLV's more dominant efforts in the in-state series, which was created when Nevada moved into the Mountain West for the 2012-13 athletic season. UNLV has a 12-point edge over Nevada (25.5 points to 13.5 points) with nine more points to be awarded. Here's a look at which department won which sports this year.

UNLV victories: Volleyball, women's soccer, football, women's indoor cross country, women's tennis, men's tennis, men's golf, softball

Nevada victories: Women's cross country, men's basketball, women's swimming and diving, women's golf

Ties: Women's basketball

Per usual, UNLV dominated Nevada in the spring sports, which has lifted the Rebels to the majority of their titles in this series. The schools were tied at 10.5 points apiece after the MW swimming and diving championships but UNLV scored 15 of the 18 points awarding following that event with Nevada's only win coming in women's golf.

UNLV won the first four Governor's Series between the schools before Nevada scored a 24-24 tie in 2017-18 and was awarded the title based on the tiebreaker (winning the Fremont Cannon that year). UNLV responded by taking last year's series, 27-21, before making it two straight this season, with the Rebels on pace to hit 30 points for the time since doing so in each of the first two Governor's Series.

Points will still be awarded this season in women's outdoor track and field; Academic Progress Report and baseball, where the teams have split the regular-season series but could still match up in the MW Tournament.
