Two Nevada Wolf Pack volleyball players are part of the 12-player team the Mountain West is sending to Europe next month to participate in the 15th annual Global Challenge.

Nevada’s Kayla Afoa and Dalyn Burns will represent the Wolf Pack in the tournament, which will be held in Pula, Croatia from July 16-19. The trip will last 13 days and includes stops to London and Venice. It is the sixth straight season the MW is sending an all-star team to the tournament. Seven of the MW's 11 teams will be represented on the MW team. In 2018, the Mountain West team earned runner-up honors in the under-23 bracket.

Fresno State head coach Jonathan Winder will lead the team. His roster will include Fresno State's Madelyn Halteman; Boise State’s Kiley Lewis; Colorado State’s Olivia Nicholson and Sasha Colombo; San Diego State’s Erin Gillcrist; San Jose State’s Sarah Smevog and Haylee Nelson; Utah State’s Corinne Larsen and Whitney Solosabal; and Nevada's Afoa and Burns.

Afoa, a junior outside hitter from Honolulu, was an All-MW honorable mention in 2018. She led Nevada in points (435), kills (385) and service aces (30) last season. Burns, a senior setter from San Jose, paced the Wolf Pack in assists (831) and attack percentage (.447) last year while sitting third in service aces (23).
