Fútbol could make it to Allegiant Stadium before football.
The Washington Post reports the International Champions Cup is eyeing Las Vegas to host a match between soccer powerhouses FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.
The Post, citing multiple people familiar with discussions, says it would be the first sporting event at Allegiant Stadium.
A decision isn't set and other facilities are under consideration, according to the Post, including SoFi Stadium in Southern California, which will be home to the Rams and Chargers.
The International Champions Cup brings top European clubs to the U.S. every summer to play exhibition matches, or friendlies.
Real Madrid and FC Barcelona are members of Spain's La Liga and compete in a fierce rivalry known as El Clásico.
Allegiant Stadium is scheduled to be completed by the end of July, in time for the start of the Las Vegas Raiders' preseason. The stadium will also host the UNLV Rebels football team and the Pac-12 football championship game.
