The Nevada basketball team picked up a pair of lopsided losses last week but wasn't rewarded in the AP Top 25.

The Wolf Pack slipped a spot in the poll after being leap-frogged by Michigan, which beat Rutgers and ranked Wisconsin last week. Nevada sits in seventh spot after being ranked sixth last week. Tennessee, Duke, Gonzaga, Virginia and Kentucky filled the top five. Here is how I voted this week. You can see the full Top 25 below. Over the weekend, Nevada was projected by the NCAA as a four seed in the South Region.

Also Monday, Jordan Caroline was named the Mountain West player of the week. It is his fourth honor this season and the sixth of his career. A Nevada player has won the MW player of the week award seven of the 14 weeks this season..

In Nevada's 98-82 win at Colorado State, Caroline scored 40 points, tied for the fifth most in a game in school history. In the first half, Caroline was nearly perfect, making 9-of-11 shots, all six of his 3-pointers and all six of his free throws en route to 30 points. The 40 overall points is the high for a MW player this season. He also grabbed 12 rebounds for his 41st double-double at Nevada, which set the MW record.

In a 91-62 win over New Mexico, Caroline had his 15th double-double of the season by scoring 13 points and grabbing 13 rebounds. For the week, Caroline averaged 26.5 points, 12.5 rebounds and three assists. In the two games, he shot 44.1 percent from the field, 54.5 percent from behind the arc and 77.3 percent at the free throw line.
