Nevada Sports Net columnist Chris Murray is one of 61 voters in the college football AP Top 25 poll. Here is a look at his final ballot this week.

On the rise

* LSU: The marquee game of the week was LSU versus Texas, and the Tigers prevailed by a touchdown. The shocking thing was the manner in which that was accomplished with LSU throwing for 471 yards and four touchdowns. I moved LSU from No. 7 to No. 3 on my ballot behind Clemson and Alabama. Texas fell from No. 5 to No. 9. Also, a tip of the hat to USC, which routed No. 23 Stanford. I was the only voter to have USC in my first two ballots, but I think I’ll be joined by others this week.

On the fall

* Washington: The Pac-12 went 1-2 against the Mountain West this week, but the most important loss by a team in the conference came in an intraleague matchup as Cal upset Washington by one point in Seattle on Greg Thomas' 17-yard field goal with 8 seconds remaining. The game was delayed more than 2 1/2 due to severe weather. The loss dropped Washington out of my Top 25. The Huskies were No. 13 last week. Cal, meanwhile, jumped from unranked to No. 22. Stanford and Syracuse also fell off my ballot.
