Churchill County High wide receiver Brock Richardson is joining his brother at College of Idaho, an NAIA team in Caldwell, just outside of Boise.
Richardson, a senior for the Greenwave, committed to the Coyotes on Tuesday. His brother, Connor, was a junior receiver at College of Idaho last season. He caught 26 passes for 372 yards and four touchdowns.
A three-sport athlete, the 5-foot-9, 165-pound Richardson rushed 79 times for 829 yards (10.5 per carry) and 10 touchdowns as a senior last season. He also caught 50 passes for 964 yards and 11 touchdowns. In four seasons at the varsity level, including a brief appearance as a freshman, Richardson accounted for 4,694 yards and 67 touchdowns.
College of Idaho went 11-1 last season, losing in the quarterfinals of the NAIA playoffs to Grand View (Iowa).
Richardson joins a host of Churchill County football players who have jumped to the next level over the last two seasons, joining OL Ben Dooley (Boise State), WR Tommy McCormick (Idaho), WR Sean McCormick (Idaho) and eventually QB Elijah Jackson, who has been offered scholarships as an athlete to Nevada, Idaho, Montana State and Idaho State. Jackson also could opt to play basketball at the next level.
